A judge has ruled that Ninja Man has a case to answer even as the deejay is hospitalized with heart issues.

According to his attorney, Valerie Neita Robinson, the Don Gorgon’s condition is serious enough to require a surgery even though the surgery is minor in the medical realm. She informed 18 Karat Reggae that Ninja Man’s problems were brought on by the stress of going through a murder trial.

“We have to finish this case as quickly as possible in order to take him out of this stressful situation and believe me, it is stressful, any human being will be stressed,” she said.

With the prosecution’s case concluded and the judge ruling that there is a case to answer, Robinson is hoping to start presenting the defense case on Monday.  She also disagrees with rumors that Ninja Man might be faking his illness.

“We have the medical, Ninjaman has a serious heart condition, and he will have to have an operation which will require a recovery period of three to four months. So we want to finish this case as quickly as possible because Ninjaman cannot go under any stress right now and has to remain as calm as possible,” she continued.

With that much recovery time needed for Ninja Man’s surgery, it is quite possible that by the time the case is over, Ninja will still be in the hospital.  If this is the case, then Ninja will learn whether he is a free man or will spend maybe the rest of his life in prison, from his hospital bed.

Ninjaman whose real name is Desmond Ballentyne is on trial for a 2009 murder.   He has given permission to his attorney for the trial to continue even while he is hospitalized.
