Ace dancehall star, Ninja Man, is still hospitalized after complaining of chest pains and difficulty breathing during his murder trial last week.
“He has been in the hospital since last Friday and he is still there,” Ninja Man’s attorney, Valerie Neita-Robertson, told 18 Karat Reggae.
Ninja’s hospitalization has not put a stop to his murder trial, however.
“The case is not halted as a result of his sickness. He gave us permission to continue and we continued on yesterday without him present,” Robertson said.
Last Friday, Ninja’s trial was abruptly halted when he fell ill. He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) but did not stay there. Instead the entertainer is now at an undisclosed hospital.
Ninja Man is on trial for a 2009 murder that he, his son and another man are accused of committing.
Ninja, who was one of the top deejays in the 80s and 90s, has maintained his innocence.
