Reggae artist Zambai takes reggae from Antigua to the world.

“Zambai” born Neil Collis Parker is a singer/songwriter/musician from the twin island of Antigua and Barbuda. He started his career in music in 1983 as a founding member of the FIREWORKS band. He played the role of both drummer and vocalist while working the club and hotel circuit.

Since leaving FIREWORKS in 1991 Zambai has performed with many top bands and musicians from across the region and internationally. He has shared the stage with legendary performers such as Stevie Wonder and the late Percy Sledge.

The soulful vibes of this singer comes pouring from the heart as he pens songs reflecting on themes such as the youth, nature, affairs of the heart and social happenings. His respect and adoration for women is also borne out in the mellow reggae vibes which one fellow artist dubbed as being “lyrically sound”.

In 2006 Zambai released his first reggae single in Antigua entitled “Solid Foundation” and in December of that year he was one of the opening acts for reggae super star Beres Hammond at the International Night of Stars concert in St Kitts. Since then he has focused on finding an avenue to enrich the lives and hearts of people through writing and composing other songs that address the real issues of the day and touch the human spirit.

The dream of working alongside other artists in the land of Reggae and producing conscious music became more compelling and he made this a reality in 2008. That same year, prior to relocating, he performed at the Jazz/Reggae Concert at Sunset Beach Club, Cades Bay, Nevis, as one of the headline performers.

Zambai’s effort has seen him embark on a recording project of original pieces. This has led him to work on productions in Jamaica with Dean Fraser as well as other studios. He currently continues to work on his craft and producing good reggae music in his homeland of Antigua. He went on to release another single “Strength”.

In February 2015, Zambai performed on the show “Music is Life” in Antigua being featured alongside other reggae artists such as a Beres Hammond, Alaine, and Richie Spice.

Most recently on May 2nd 2017, he was one of the opening acts at the Antigua Sailing Week’s ‘REGGAE IN THE PARK’ concert which was headlined by Damian”Jr Gong” Marley.
“You Are The One” (a reggae love song) is his latest release and
Zambai vows to spread love and gratitude through his music to people all over the world.
